woods and wefts

apt 302.

It all began with an old Macomber 8-harness loom in Lawrence, Kansas.

Today, I own two 8-harness floor looms and work from my studio apartment in Chicago, where my passion for weaving continues to grow. Let me show you the magic of my studio and the processes I take to bring my art to life.

every thread counts.

From the moment I select the threads to the final step of cutting the piece from my loom, each thread is carefully handled. The process of weaving is anything but hurried. I spend hours preparing the loom, weaving, sewing, cutting, and reassembling. Every piece is a labor of love. When you see one of my works, you’re looking at the result of that dedicated care. I want viewers to experience a glimpse into the creative process

Weaving is a timeless art, with roots that reach back through thousands of years. Below, you'll find a collection of intimate moments from my home studio, offering a glimpse into the thoughtful steps I take to create a piece that might one day find a special place on your wall.
